Leading people into a maturing new life in Jesus Christ

Motorcycle Ministry February News

On December 3rd I attended the 39th annual Olympia Toy Run with Roy Hood and his NW Chapter. It was a cool start at 9 a.m. in Lynnwood and got rather wet in Olympia. We were able mingle with some of the 5000 or so bikers there and it took about 40 minutes to clear the South Sound Sears parking lot where it was staged. Roy and I held back while the rest of his chapter joined the ride group headed to downtown Olympia. We pointed our two Harleys north and stopped in at South Sound Harley Davidson to look for Toy Run pins from the event since the event location was sold out of them. We were lucky and were able to buy ride pins for everyone who wanted them. We then headed north to Seattle and rode out of the rain around Federal Way.

Later that same evening we attended the GNW HOG Christmas party at Emerald City Harley Davidson. While there I met two new HOG members, David and his wife Willie, who are Adventists. I had been debating on whether to wear my black SKMM shirt or not, then the thought entered my head to go ahead and wear it (thank you Holy Spirit)!  David picked right up on the Three Angels logo, and both he and Willie were quite surprised to discover an Adventist motorcycle ministry existing in the motorcycle community they have recently entered. Willie has been to our Edmonds Church twice, and we might see the two of them in the future. Might even have new prospects for our own Puget Sound SKMM chapter, God willing.

Later this month I will be preparing a video of our motorcycle ministry and taking it to Monroe Prison to share and witness to the inmates there. Then it’s time to relax and welcome the New Year and the 2017 riding season.

Happy Holidays
